Hidden away in the Symbilline Mountains of Le Marche, not far from the town of Ascoli Piceno, is the truffle farm of Bosco D’Oro owned by the passionate Staffolani family.
The oak trees of the truffle farm of Bosco D’Oro are watered by an ancient Roman channel that Gilberto, the Staffolani patriarch, has managed to restore.
For decades Gilberto has passed down truffle growing and hunting secrets to his dedicated son Pierpaolo. The father and son team are joined by two very special women; Paola the wife of Gilberto and the mother of Pierpaolo, and Pierpaolo’s wife, Daniela. Paola and Daniela lovingly clean, prune and package the truffles the hunters bring home.
The Staffolani family work together with so much joy on their truffle farm which they affectionately call their ‘kingdom’ – this joy and passion really does speak for itself in the quality of the products they produce.
