The Benfatti Story

Benjamin and his father Steven pictured here on the Amalfi Coast. On a recent trip to Italy the duo mixed their passion for motorbike riding with 'business', touring Italy on two wheels on a 'mission' to experience Italy's best artisan foods.
My name is Benjamin Cleary-Corradini. As the founder of Benfatti, I would like to share with you a few details about myself and the genesis of the Benfatti organisation.
Firstly, the word 'Benfatti' does not mean ‘Ben is a fatty’ rather it is a composite word of the abbreviation of 'bene' and 'fatti'; meaning 'well made' in Italian. However, if you wish to remember it as ‘Ben is a fatty’ then that's okay with me - as long as you remember it and tell all your friends about it!
I am a proud second generation Italo-Australian. Over the past decade I have been lucky enough to visit and study in Italy which has made it impossible to not fall in love with my Italian heritage. My time in Italy is usually spent visiting relatives and sampling the authentic traditional dishes typical of their region. Luckily my relatives are spread across some of Italy’s most well known, as well as secret, ‘foodie’ regions such as Emilia Romagna, Le Marche, Lombardia and Toscana.
My travels to Italy have opened my eyes to the fact that unfortunately; it is only those living in Italy, or visiting Italy, who get to experience authentic Italian artisan food. While the Italian food sold here in Australia, and other parts of the world, is perhaps ‘made in Italy’ it’s most often food that has been mass produced in high tech factories under global brands which attempt to convince the consumer that these products are authentic ‘just like in Italy'.
Here at ‘Benfatti’ we don't mislead our customers, instead we offer something which is completely genuine. We have, and will continue, to search Italy far and wide to bring you the highest quality, 'hard to find' authentic artisan made foods for your enjoyment. We are confident our products will bring immense joy to your meals and allow you to taste the same authentic food as if you were sitting at the dinner table in the homes of our authentic artisan producers.
